The Bible is the christian sacred text believed by Christians to be revealed and or inspired by God. Made up of the Old and New testaments.
Revelation is God making himself known to humankind e.g. through the Bible.
Judgement is the belief that God will judge whether or not humans are worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven
Baptism: A sacrament, the rite of initiation through which people become members of the church. Water is used to symbolise washing away of sin.
Reason is the process of logical thought; the ability to think in a logical way and form judgements and opinions through rational and evidence-based consideration.
Confirmation is a rite through which a person who has been baptised affirms their Christianbelief and is recognised as a fullmember of the Church.
Eucharist means 'thanksgiving' and is also called 'HolyCommunion'. The service which celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus.Bread and wine represent the body and blood of Jesus.
Pilgrimage is a journey made to a sacred place as an act of worship or devotion e.g. Christians may visit Jerusalem to walk in Jesus' footsteps.
Free Will is the ability to make choices voluntarily and independently. The belief that nothing is predetermined.
Heaven is a place in the afterlife for those who have acceptedGod'sgrace and forgiveness in this life will enjoy and eternalexistence in God's presence in the next life.
Hell is a place of punishment in the afterlife for those who have rejected God's grace and forgiveness through their own freewill and have chosen to live a life eternallyoutside of God's presence.
Vows are promises made between people or a person's promise to God. Wedding vows are promises between the bride and groom, committing themselves to each other
MarriageSymbols are features of the wedding ceremony that indicate the purpose and meaning of marriage. E.g. wedding ring is a circle, symbolising eternal love and commitment.
