    Position of the pivot is very important
  • First order lever
    Mechanical advantage will increase if the load is closer to the fulcrum and the effort is further away
  • Second order lever
    Effort is at the opposite end to the fulcrum and the load is in between
  • Third order lever
    Load is at the opposite end to the fulcrum and the effort is in the middle
