bowmans capsule

Cards (3)

    • glomerulus →  Bowman’s capsule→   proximal convoluted tubule →  Loop of Henle  distal convoluted tubule→ •  collecting duct
    • The Bowman’s capsule is a spherical, hollow cup-like structure that contains a network of capillaries called the glomerulus
  • Filtration
    • passive transport (assisted by blood pressure) of solutes (urea, glucose, amino acids, ions) via diffusion and water via osmosis from the capillaries of the glomerulus into the Bowman’s capsule
    • blood cells and large proteins cannot pass through the glomerulus and remain in the blood
