    Used to describe 2 points on the same limb - closer to where it inserts to the body
  • Anterior
    Front of the body(ventral)

    Right side of the person in anatomical position
  • Lateral
    Any point further from the midline of the body(midline cuts body in half vertically)
  • Standard Position
    Standing upright with feet together, arns at sides with palms forward
  • Posterior
    Back of the body(dorsal)
  • Medial
    Any point closer to the middle of the body(midline cuts body in half vertically)
  • Inferior
    Below, or towards the feet
  • Deep
    Further into the body cavities
