  • CLIMB ETHICS
    • Low-impact Mountaineering - every mountaineer must be fully conscious of the fragile balance of nature and the importance of leaving the mountain in it's original state as much as possible.
    • Interaction with fellow-mountaineers - in spirit of sportmanship and camaraderie, we should establish and strengthen our ties with our fellow mountaineers by behaving with decorum
  • TRAVELING - an act of traveling through a geographic region or moving from one place to another.
  • MOUNTAINEERING - also referred to as "Mountain Climbing" or (manly in Europe) "Alpinism" is the sport of climbing of mountain. The act of trekking and climbing specialized equipment.
  • HIKING - an outdoor activity which consist of a long walking in natural environments, often on hiking or trails o paths.
  • TREKKING - is an increasing popular activity, usually just to enjoy the landscape, the ground, the climate, an also trees, plants and animals.
  • CAMPING - a tourist activity that consist of sleeping in a portable shelter such as a tent or trailer and traveling with equipment designed for outdoor living.
  • TRAVELER - a person who is making a journey or a person who travels a lot.
    MOUNTAINEER - a person who climbs a mountain as a sport or job
    HIKER - a person who walks for long distances, especially across country
    TREKKER - a traveler who makes a long arduous journey.
    CAMPER - one that camps, such as a person lodging temporarily in a tent or a cabin.
  • SOME TERMINOLOGIES USE IN MOUNTAINEERING
    • Jump off - a place where we begin or engage an activity
    • Cairn - a pile of rock or wood used to mark a given path
    • Free climb - a climb using one's hand and feet only, without artificial helps.
    • Trail water/food - easily accessible bottle of water or snacks for refreshment along the trail
    • Trail signs - rock, strings, foliage, branches, or hack signs on tree trunks that marks designated route
    • Take 5 - take 5 minutes of rest
    • E-camp - emergency camp
    • Break camp - disassembling tents, clean campsite and getting ready to leave te camp
  • Mountaineering Equipment - it is important to remember to " travel light" or " travel small"
