• p - stanza 2 continues expanding on the .. character of the photographer who's suffering from his experiences of war. The trauma of war is shown through his photos.
• E - this is seen in ' he did not tremble though seem to now '. through the word choice of ' tremble ' Duffy creates the idea that while looking through the images he took he is scared and traumatized. however this contrasts with the idea that when taking the images he was calm and relaxed as he was doing his job and overlooking the reality and issues of conflict. This also emphasises how the photos a symbol of trauma and suffering that people had to experience.
• L - This demonstrates that the war photographer is a ... character as he shows the ways in which war effected him. he has whitnesed horror and now has to reflect on that trauma through suffering and torture. however this shows the job is important as it shows the truth but its a complex matter as it has a negative impact on the photographers mental state.
