  • Recreation - universal need of man. Refers to relaxing of mind and body. It is important to engage in an activity that relieves a day to day tension.
  • Recreational Activities -held mostly during special occassion. Revitalized all the different aspects of life (physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual)
  • 2 KINDS OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES
    A.) Indoor Recreational Activities - refers to any activity which are done inside an enclosed structure like te houses and gymnasium.
    B.) Outdoor Recreational Activities - refers to any activity which are done outside the building or structure.
  • CLASSIFICATION OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITY
    1.)Spectator Type - people spend their time watching the event and derive enjoyment from it.
    2.) Participant Type - people do not gain enjoyment merely by watching: they do so by joining the activity.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - people exerts efforts and bodily functions in performing the actions.
    MENTAL ACTIVITY - the mind is doing the functions less body movement.
  • TYPE OF RECREATION
    A.) ACTIVE TYPE - people have to function effectively in performing the action.
    B.) PASSIVE TYPE - people have no exercise movement in performing the task or action.
  • KIND OF RECREATION
    1.) PUBLIC - involves the general public
    2.) PRIVATE - confined to people working in a private company.
