- Latent states are in the kidney and B lymphocytes
- Associated with immunocompromised individuals
- Bk virus is associated hemorrhagic cystitis and JC virus is associated with disease or progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy
- MC virus is associate with Merkel Cell Carcinoma
- BK and JC - are initials of patients in where they discovered the virus
