  • What to do before a Tropical Cyclone
    1. Know the hazard and plan with your family regarding what to do in case of emergencies
    2. Conduct of tree planting and clean up drives in your communities
    3. If house is somewhat weak, strengthen foundations and anchor it to stable and strong structures
    4. Familiarize your local evacuation routes, alarm/ warning systems and educate others
    5. Maintain a 72-hour emergency survival bag
    6. Participate in trainings, drills and exercises
  • What to do during a Tropical Cyclone
    1. Always monitor the latest Severe Weather Bulletin issued by PAGASA
    2. Trim the branches of large trees
    3. For fisherfolk, do not set sail and secure boats to the shore
    4. For Public Storm Warning Signal 1 to 3, everyone is advised to stay inside safe and strong houses
    5. Board up windows and roofs and securely fasten them
    6. Conduct pre-emptive evacuation if living in flood and landslide prone areas
    7. For Public Storm Warning Signal 4 to 5, everyone is advised to stay in safe houses or evacuation centers
    8. Turn off main switch and unplug all electrical equipment before leaving your house
    9. Do not cross areas with strong currents and/or flood waters reaching above the knee
    10. Keep away from toppled electric posts and fallen electric wires
    11. Bring your pets/domesticated animals with you when evacuating to safe areas
  • What to do after a Tropical Cyclone
    1. Re-enter dwellings upon the ALL CLEAR signal from the authorities
    2. Check your self for any sustained injuries and apply first aid if necessary
    3. Clean your dwellings and immediate surroundings
    4. Boil water before drinking and protect food from contamination
