  • Board Representative for Casting

    • Generally a board member, may be another designee
    • Participates in auditions and casting meetings
    • Ensures casting guidelines are followed
    • Releases final cast
  • Artistic Director
    • Is responsible of all artistic decisions
    • Block all scenes and runs blocking rehearsals and general rehearsals
    • Develops draft rehearsal schedule prior to auditions.
  • Musical Director
    • Works with the technical crew on sound, microphones, balance, etc.
    • May commit club to pay orchestra members with the treasurer if it is within the producer's budget
  • Playwright
    • Creates script and may develop a new script with feedback and guidance from a dramaturge (who deals with the research and development of the play or orchestra)
  • Choreographer
    • Represents the artistic directors on all choreographic matters and decisions
    • Selecting numbers and running choreography portions of auditions
    • It is selected by the producer and artistic director
  • Technical Director

    • Surveys performance space for the technical production elements or capabilities
    • Serves as a consultant to production staff on technical issues
    • Works with the set designer on technical construction and implementation aspects of scenery
  • Costume Designer
    • Identifies necessary costume requirements
    • Organizes cast members to help acquire necessary costumes
    • Obtains/purchases/sews/rents necessary costumes
  • Sound Designer
    • Plans and provides the sound effects or soundscapes for the production
    • Creates sounds that motivates actions
    • Studies the script and gathers as much information as possible about sound or music
  • Ticket Manager

    • Arranges for ticket printing (generally with theater)
    • Coordinates ticket distribution by cast
    • Provides and tracks complimentary tickets
  • Publicity Director
    • Advertises shows and auditions
    • Develops detailed budget within budget ceiling from the producer
    • Is selected by and reports to the producers
  • Production Photographer
    • Takes pictures during auditions
    • Shoots individual and activity photos for programs
    • Photographs for advertisements and paper submissions
  • Program Designer
    • Designs the general program
    • Gets the bios and photos of the cast from the producer
    • Arranges to have program printed
  • Makeup Designer

    • Plans the hairstyle and make up to complement the costumes of the actors
    • Does creative make up, face and body painting, hair coloring and other accessories
    • Creates make up based on the character's age and personality and the time and place of the story
  • Properties Designer
    • Identifies and obtains property requirement for the production
    • Purchases batteries for body microphones
    • It is selected by and reports to the producers
  • Actor
    • Enhances performance through imagination, emotional honesty, and empathy
    • Focuses, listens and has high level reading, research, and text analysis skills
    • Observes vocal training for greater power, expressiveness, and clarity
    • Understands love for language
  • Board of Directors

    • Maintains club budgets and finances
    • Select productions, artistic director and producer
    • Acts as executive producers for each production.
  • Producer
    • Develops budget for performance fees, theatre rent, theatre publicity, and etc.
    • Secures rights to production selected by the board of directors and ensures all involved in production are made aware of those rights
    • Develops and maintains overall production schedules.
  • Director
    • Sets the vision of the productions
    • Brings together the complex pieces of a production , scripts, actors, set , costuming, lighting, sound and music into a unified whole.
    • Plans the rehearsal
    • Guides the actors during rehearsals
  • Stage Manager
    • Is present at all performances or every stage rehearsal
    • Calls the cast to order and phones absent members
    • Calls and cues for lighting and sound effects
    • Assists with the production from the start.
  • Set Design
    • He or she builds the set (or sets) that will simulate the world that the play’s characters are supposed to live in. 
    • Arranges delivery to construction location.
