  • Tejeros Assembly
    The meeting held on March 1897 between the Magdiwang and Magdalo factions of the Katipunan
  • The Tejeros Convention (alternate names include Tejeros Assembly and Tejeros Congress) was the first presidential and vice presidential elections in Philippine history, although only the Katipuneros (members of the Katipunan) were able to take part, and not the general populace
  • Emilio Aguinaldo was not at the assembly as he was commanding the Filipino forces at the frontlines in Pasong Santol, Barrio Salitran, Dasmariñas, facing the imminent attack of the Spanish forces
  • Magdalo
    A faction of the Katipunan chapter in Cavite, named after Mary Magdalene, patroness of Kawit, Cavite. It was officially led by Baldomero Aguinaldo, but his cousin Emilio Aguinaldo (whose own Katipunan codename was "Magdalo") was its most famous leader
  • Magdiwang
    The other Katipunan chapter in Cavite, acknowledged as "the supreme organ responsible for the successful campaigns against the enemy" within Cavite. It was started by Mariano Álvarez, related by marriage to Andrés Bonifacio, the leader of the Katipunan
