  • Intentional injury this terms refers to injuries that are results of an intended human action
  • TWO TYPES OF INTENTIONAL INJURY:
    • Self-inflicted
    • Assault
  • Self inflicted- when a person purposely harms himself or herself
  • Assault- when a person harms another person on purpose
  • Suicide is an intentional taking of one's life
  • Parasuicide is an act in which person attempts to suicide without having any intention to die
  • Domestic violence- when a family member purposely abuses another family member
  • Unintentional Injury- it refers to any form of injuries which happens accidentally
  • COMMON UNINTENTIONAL INJURIES:
    • Fracture
    • Dislocation
    • Food poisoning
    • Heat Exhaustion
