• Fault - a fracture of series of fractures in Earth's crust
• Many faults occur along plate boundaries
• Faults occur because of stress
• Hanging Wall - slope which you can hang
• Foot Wall - slope with you can walk
• Type of Fault is determined by the motion of Hanging Wall
• Compressional - push
• Tensional - pull
• Shear - slide pass each othwe
• Normal fault - cause by tension
• Reverse Fault - cause by compression
• Strike-Strip Fault - caused by shear
• In normal fault hanging wall drops
• In reverse fault hanging wall pulls up
• In Strike-Strip Fault slide past one another
• Fold - occur when stress applied to both ends of a rock sention
• Fold occurs when rocks bend
• Anticline - rainbow
• Syncline - smiley
• Alfred Wegener - first to propose continental drift theory
• Continental Drift - theory that explains continents had once been joined
• Pangaea - name of supercontinent
• Geologic - evidence in the layers of rocks
• Fossil -evidence in the places certain fossils are found
