    Globalisation refers to the increasing interconnectedness and interdependence of countries through the exchange of goods, services, information, and ideas. It involves the integration of economies, cultures, and societies on a global scale, facilitated by advancements in technology and transportation. Globalisation impacts various aspects of our lives, including trade, finance, communication, and cultural exchange.
  • What is citizenship?
    The sense of belonging to a social, political and/or national community. It is linked to a political status and involvement of public affairs.

    National, Global
  • What is National Citizenship?
    The rights and obligations belonging to a citizen of a country
  • What is Global Citizenship?
    Belonging not only to one's nation but also to the wider perspective- the whole world.
  • What is global citizenship education?
    It is learning about the world and what is happening around us.
  • What does global citizenship education focus on?
    Sustainable development, global and local connections, promoting democracy and human dignity, protecting human rights and complimentary identities. (Meaning that no race is superior to another)
  • What is primary socialisation?
    It is the socialisation which a person experiences from birth to 3 years of age before one goes to school. It is the socialisation one experiences between parents, siblings and grandparents.
  • What is secondary socialisation?
    This happens when one goes to school at 3 years of age and meets new people including friends and teachers.
