Plant Cell structures

• Nucleus- Controls the cells activities and holds the cells DNA
• Cytoplasm- Organelle are suspended and chemical reactions take place here
• Cell membrane- control movement of substances that go in and out of the cell
• Mitochondria- where aerobic respiration takes place
• Ribosomes- Site of protein synthesis in the cell to give cells its needed protein
• Chloroplast- contains chlorophyll, which absorbs light required for photosynthesis
• Vacuole- contains cell sap, which is a solution of sugars and salts
• Cell wall- made of cellulose and supports the cell and provides strength and rigidity
