  • Cora and Mitch could be compared as death has an impact on their further actions / decisions. Cora finds the previous Offred hanging and fears that Offred has killed herself and makes her breakfast - is nice to her. Mitch's mother is dying and so this leads to him trying to find a woman to marry.
