• Claim - is an assertion open to challenge, to assert something that could possibly be contradicted.
• claims - are used to defend our positon on topics.
• Three types of claims:

  1. CLAIM OF FACT
  2. CLAIM OF VALUE
  3. CLAIM OF POLICY
• CLAIM FACT - Claim that assert the truth or existence of something and can be tested by examining evidence for the claim.
• CLAIM OF VALUE - ON ASSERTING PERSOFOCUSED NAL JUDMENTS AND BIASES
• CLAIM OF POLICY - FOCUS ON SUGGESTING WHAT MUST BE OR MUST NOT BE DONE.
• CLAIM OF VALUE - "Netflix is better than youtube "
• CLAIM OF FACT - Extinction of animals is due to human activities
