• Jesus taught :

  good deeds = ‘deposits’ into a spiritual treasury
• Treasures on earth = worldly good/wealth not important
• Treasures on heaven = the spiritual value of good deeds
• The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus:

  • wealth = no benefit in afterlife
  • how wealth used matter in after life
  • all ethical decisions should be motivated by agape love
  • God will reward those who do good
