  • Flowcharts
    Show a clear path of how you will complete a project, often used to show processes, workflows and decisions
  • Flowcharts
    • They are very logical and help with organisation
    • They can help you see where there might be a problem
  • Mind map
    • The main subject is in the centre, called the central node
    • Ideas and info branch from the central node
    • Further ideas from the nodes are called sub-nodes
    • All mind maps have lines called branches
    • Central nodes, nodes and sub-nodes should include a word or image
    • Each node can have many branches

    • Library - to give clear understanding of a topic
    • Tunnel Timeline - used for problem solving, central note is the problem that needs to be solved, nodes and sub-nodes show the paths needed to solve the problem
    • Presentation - used to present ideas to an audience
  • Wireframe
    • A plan that focuses on the structure of a product such as layout and navigation, may have brief annotations explaining the navigation
    • It helps understand the outline of the design before details are added, to see whether sizes and proportions are correct
  • Types of wireframes
    • Low-fidelity - less accurate, uses boxes to show positions of basic content with basic annotations
    • High-fidelity - more accurate, gives more detail such as font size, colours, actual text and logo
  • Visualisation diagram
    • A rough drawing or diagram of what a finished product might look like, used to show something that does not move such as a poster or web page
    • Info and data can be easily and quickly understood so anyone can understand the idea
    • It is very detailed
