Nervous system

• The nervous system consists of two main parts: CNS and PNS
• Nerves carry messages between different parts of the body using electrical impulses called action potentials.
• CNS is the brain and spinal cord, while PNS are nerves that connect to other organs.
• Brain is in charge of receiving, processing, and responding to sensory information.
• Peripheral nervous system includes all nerves outside the central nervous system (CNS).
• Spinal cord transmits signals from the peripheral nervous system (PNS) to the brain and vice versa.
