• Pope St. John Paul II — human dignity is a Gospel value; its denial offends the Creator; dignity is infringed by violations of freedom, bodily integrity, participation, etc
• Pope Benedict XVI — dignity defended especially for the weakest; economy must serve the person, not the other way around.
• Pope Francis — dignity is an original given (infinitely loved by the Father); recognizing it fosters authentic fraternity (see Fratelli Tutti).
