Ocular
lens
It’s where you look to see the objet being examined. Has
10x
zoom.
Body tube
Directs the image from the objective lens to the
ocular lens.
Holds the
ocular lens
and revolving nosepiece.
Arm
Used to carry/move the microscope. Supports the
body tube.
Revolving Nosepiece
Where objective lenses are attached.
Revolves

Low objective lens

Holds microscope slide in place. Can be used to move the slide around

contrast
of the image that you see by changing the refraction of the light rays.
Diaphragm
Adjusts the amount of light coming though the
condenser
and
stage.
Coarse Adjustment knob
Moves the stage up/down in very
LARGE
increments. Use ONLY with
LOW
objective lens.
Fine adjustment knob
Moves the
stage up
/
down
in very
SMALL
increments Can be used with any of the
objective
lenses.
Light source
Illuminates speciment that is being examined.
Base
Heavy
to help
stabilize
the microscope. Where you find the
power button
and
light adjustment dial.
