    • Most common type of C-section incision
  • Low-Vertical
    • Similar to a classical incision but performed in the lower part of the uterine segment
  • Classical
    • Most common type of incision in the early 1900s
    • Still used in certain cases such as when a rapid C-section is necessary or for premature, breech, or transverse babies
  • Inverted T
    • Occurs when the surgeon requires more space to deliver the baby
  • Inverted J
    • Used when the surgeon needs additional space for delivery
    • Can occur accidentally during the procedure
