• Regulation- now we have the IPSO- independent press standards associatio. look at complaints,advise editor,help with unwanted press attention

  The Times-owned by News corporation-Rupert Murdoch-very powerful man-seen as a villain by most.Very influential.Owns the sun aswell. Very wealthy, owns a lot of business.He is right wing.

• Ownership of Mirror-Reach- conglomerate-less bias-very bias-less cost-dominant market share-owns lots of newspapers
• Mirror-left wing
• Market-Mirror was the largest paper but it’s declining now.
• Covid has destroyed newspaper industry.Newspapers now focus on online market.-Subscription and donation.
• Future for newspapers- online news, social media, and digital news.
• Media products such as newspapers have been strongly influenced- Rupert murdoch-influenced David Cameron election through times.

• Times-conservative-right wing-traditional values-better readers-capitalist-family-money-aimed at higher power people-if you work hard-earn money-respect government and monarchy
• Mirror-labour-left wing- more for socialism-equality-working class-agree with immigration-money should be taxed to spread aroun—equity
• Free press in England-say what you want-allowed to criticise government
