and type
1 respiratory failure
What about the practical exam:
You will need to be able to discuss the
physiological
effects of
IPPB
and
CPAP
if you bring them up in your
clinical scenario
You will need to be able to discuss the
settings
of IPPB
You will need to justify their use with an
understanding
of the
clinical indications
for both techniques
Don’t forget to consider any possible
precautions
/contraindications e.g. haemoptysis or low BP
