  • Medicines mainly come from plants and sometimes organisms
  • Preclinical testing is testing drugs on live animals, tissue cells to make sure it’s safe for humans.
  • Clinical testing is testing on heslthy voulenteers in very low doses to see any side affects
  • If safe clinical testing continues to find best dose with few side effects
  • Placebo is a tablet or an injection with no active drug in at all
  • Placebo is to avoid bais
  • Give the drug to one group of patients and the placebo to group two ( control group)
  • Double trial is when patients and doctors don’t know which group are receiving what to avoid bias
