• Homeostasis means keeping the internal environment constant
• Body cells work efficiently when they r as the appropriate temperature, pH and r supplied with eh correct conc. of nutrients and water
• Conditions in body which must be kept stable:

  • Water Content must be kept constant
  • Wate Chemicals must be removed
  • Body Temp must remain constant
  • Sugar Levels must remain constant
• Hormones r chemical messengers that control many body functions. They r produced by glands and carried by the blood. Hormones r Proteins
• Insulin is a hormone that controls blood sugar levels
