    • Long term memory (LTM)
      • Time stamped - you know when you learnt the LTM
      • Declarative - you can use conscious extract to recall + Easy to describe
    • Semantic memory
      Stored like an encyclopedia, contains knowledge that is shared by anyone, vast and constantly growing knowledge
    • Episodic memory
      Contains events or episodes of our lives, like a diary, includes elements such as people, places, objects involved, stored as one behaviour
    • Procedural memory
      Contains memories for actions or skills, take longer to learn and can be learnt from birth, learnt through repetition and practice, can be linked to semantic memory, automatic not declarative
    • Evaluation for LTM
      • 4th store? - perceptual representation system. — support from case studies e.g. Clive Wearing. - support from brain scans e.g. Tulving
    • Episodic memory is time stamped and declarative
    • Procedural memory is stored in the cerebellum and basal ganglia
    • Semantic memory is declarative but not time stamped
