Meiosis

• Gametes are sex cells
• Each gamete has only half of chromosomes (haploid)
• A zygote is a fertilised egg
• Zygote goes through cell division and develops into embryo
• embryo with inherit characteristics from both parents (mixture of chromosomes and genes)
• Meisos happens in reproductive organs
• meisos produces variation in organisms by not making identical cells like mitosis
• Zygote turns into diploid before cell devisoon
