Resistive Components

• R(series) = R1 + R2 + R3...
• R(parallel) = (R1 x R2)/(R1+R2)
• To use a potentiometer as a variable resistor, terminal C must be used together with either terminal A or terminal B.
• As the light intensity increases, the resistance of an LDR decreases.
• As the temperature increases, the resistance of a thermistor decreases.
• When the LDR or Thermistor is connected at the bottom of the voltage divider circuit, we create a DARK or Cold sensor. (high high, low low)
