  • EXPERIMENT - An experiment is a situation that results in different outcomes.
  • OUTCOME - An outcome is a result of an experiment.
  • SAMPLE SPACE - A sample space is a set of all possible outcomes. Each element is called a sample point. 
  • EVENT - An event is a single outcome of a group of outcomes being considered under a certain condition. It is subset of its corresponding sample space.
  • TREE DIAGRAM - A pictorial representation of different choices. It displays all the possible ways an event may happen. Each branch is called an element of the set of possible outcomes.
