  • Low Pay, Woman are more likely to end up in jobs that are part time and are in the 5c's due to the motherhood penalty. For example, In Scotland 48% of Woman work part time whereas only 16% of Men.

    Women make up 60% of the lowest paid workers in the UK. For example, The JRF states that 20% of female single pentioners are in poverty wheras only 16% of men.

    • Only 10 of FTSE top 100 companies bosses are women
  • Women on average outperform men in education, specifically in high school
  • The Herald states that "Girls are now 10 percentage points ahead of boys in passing all important highers"
  • Men after work
    • Have time for social activities such as going to the pub with their bosses and colleagues allowing them to network for better positions and promotions in their workplace
  • Women with caring responsibilities
    • Rush to school and after school clubs to pick up their kids
  • Woman get paid less, calculated by looking the average earnings of men and woman by sector and then comparing the difference this is known as the "Gender Pay Gap". For example, in 2018 BBC published an article that said "78% of companies pay men more than woman"
    Women will find it harder as the world of work doesn’t take into consideration a women’s caring responsibilities.

    Nation-wide median pay for woman is 14.3% less than mens in 2023.
    This is despite the equalities act outright prohibitting unequal pay.
