    • Butterfly - circular arm motions from front to back; dolphin kick
    • Backstroke - lay on the back and swing the arms out of the water, over the head, and back into the water with a flutter kick
    • Freestyle Relay - Four swimmers per team; each swimmer swims one-fourth of the distance using any desired stroke
    • Medley Relay - following order: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle
    • Mixed Gender Relay - Consist of two males and two females
