  • Deficiency needs are physiological, security, social, and esteem that needs are deficiency needs, which arise due to deprivation.

  • Safety needs - people want control and order in their lives
  • Love and belongingness needs - the need for emotional relationships drives human behavior.
  • Esteem Needs - the need for feelings of accomplishment and prestige, include such thing as self-esteem and personal growth.
  • Self-actualization needs - people are self-aware, concerned with personal growth, less concerned with the opinions of others, and interested in fulfilling their potential.
  • Biological and Physiological Needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sleep, etc..
  • Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, stability, etc.
  • Love and Belongingness needs - friendship, intimacy, trust, and acceptance, receiving and giving affection and love.
  • Esteem needs - Esteem for one self (dignity, achievements, mastery, independence). Desire for reputation and respect (status, prestige).
  • Cognitive needs - knowledge and understanding, curiosity, exploration, need for meaning and predictability.
  • Aesthetic needs - appreciation and search for beauty, blance form, etc.
  • Self-Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.
  • Transcendence needs - a person is motivated by values which transcend beyond the personal self.
