• parthenogenesis- unfertilized egg developed into a new offspring
• gametogenesis- production of gametes
• spawning or mating- bringing of gametes together
• fertilization- fusion of gametes
• sperm production begins in the testicles of men
• zygote- fertilized egg
• implantation- attachment of blastocyst in the lining of the uterus
• ovaries release female hormones called estrogen and progesterone
• if there is no fertilized egg, the lining breaks don and bleeds
