  • Psychological Testing - process of measuring psychology-related variables. Measures and evaluate the sample of behaviors through the use of procedure.
  • Psychological Assessment - gathering and integrations of psychology-related data for the purpose of making a psychological evaluation through various tools. 

  • Test - measurement device used to quantify behavior understanding and predictions of behavior.
  • Item - specific stimulus to which a person responds overtly that can be scored or evaluated.
  • Scales - tools that relate raw scores on test items to some defined or empirical distributions.
  • Psychological Test - device for measuring characteristics of human beings that pertains to overt and covert behavior. Measures past, present, or future human behavior.

  • Personality Test - measures behavior, traits, temperament, dispositions. Asks various questions that aligns with the personality.
  • Structured - self-report statement or scale to which the person responds quantitatively
  • Projective Test - ambiguous stimulus and the respondents are the test takers. In a form of pictures or Illustrations. Response requirements are unclear.
  • Thematic Apperception Test - TAT
  • Children Thematic Apperception Test - CTAT
  • Collaborative Psychological Assessment - there is partnership between assessor and assessee. It may work as “partners” through final feedback.
  • Therapeutic Psychological Assessment - to develop psycho therapeutic intervention (Clinical Setting)
  • Dynamic Assessment - follows a certain model: 1. Evaluation, 2. Intervention, 3. Evaluation
  • Psychological Test - standardized measuring device or procedures to describe the ability, knowledge, skills, attitude of the individual.
  • Measurement - process of quantifying amount of a particular occurrence of event, situation, phenomenon of a particular person.
  • Assessment - process of synthesis/ synthesizing the results of measurement with reference to some norms sand standards.
  • Evaluation - process of judging the worth of any occurrence of event (implication)

  • Determining Interventions - from the results, what can you do to achieve the goals?
  • Reviewing Progress - after interventions, is there some improvements or not?
  • Closure - general goal is to make the client self- sufficient not to be dependent to you. To help them become independent.
  • Content - tests items that measure the construct (variable)
  • Score - a code or summary statements that reflects an evaluation of performance.
  • Scoring - a process of assigning such evaluative codes or statements.
  • Psychometric - measurement that is psychological in nature.
  • Psychometrics - science of psychological measurement.
  • Psychometric Utility - usefulness or practical value that a test or assessment technique has a particular purpose (practicality, usefulness)
  • Therapeutic Psychological Assessment - able to design a therapeutic intervention to help a client (clinical setting)
  • Educational Assessment - used for educational setting, referral
  • Retrospective Assessment - deals with the past, historical background of the individual
