• Highly branched; more numerous shorter and thinner fibers; it conduct message towards the cell body

  Dendrite
• Slightly Branched, longer and thicker fibers; carries messages away from the cell body

  Axon
• sense organ to the brain or spinal cord

  Sensory Neuron
• brain or spinal cord to the muscles

  Motor Neuron
• process from sensory neuron relay directives to motor neurons

  Associative Neuron
• the reaction of the organisms to it is the response

  Stimuli Response
• act does not involve any thinking

  Reflex Action
• located at the forebrain; has two colored region

  Cerebrum
• seat of thinking and power of imagination, sensory motor coordinator origin of all cerebral function

  Gray Matter
• Relay impulses between the cortex and the rest of the brain and spinal cord

  White Matter
• in charge of the cognitive functions such as speech, language, analysis, logic, idea, fact, solving and training

  Left Hemisphere
• more on creativity and face recognition, creativity, arts, creation, feeling, imagination

  Right Hemisphere
• directs all incoming sensory information to the cortex, also handles outgoing motor impulses

  Thalamus
• maintain homeostasis, regulates many hormones , blood pressure, heart rate, hunger, thirst and emotions

  Hypothalamus
• relay sensory information to the cerebrum, coordinates eye reflexes

  Mid Brain
• regulate breathing, heart beat and digestion, also coordinate walking and other movements of the body

  Pons and Medulla Oblangata
• regulates balance and muscle coordination

  Cerebellum
