Obedience

• agentic state: when a person is under the influence of an authority figure and act on someone else's behalf
• autonomous state: when we see ourselves as being responsible for own behaviour
• agentic shift: when we move from ourselves as being responsible for our own behaviour to seeing someone else is responsible for it
• legitimate authority: someone who is perceived to be in a position of social control in a situation
