• Cell organisation- the cell is the basic unit of life and is the basic unit of structure and function in all living things
• Tissues- groups of cells that work together to carry out a specific function.
• Muscular tissue contracts to move whatever it’s attached to, in the stomach it churns up food
• Glandular tissue makes and secretes chemicals like enzymes and hormones, in the stomach makes digestive juices
• Epithelial tissue covers some parts of the body, in the stomach lines the inside and outside
• Catalyst- A substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without being used up in the reaction
• Enzymes- catalysts that speed up chemical reactions in the body.

• Carbohydrases convert carbohydrates into simple sugars.
