  Law that protects customers of safety issues
• Any product not achieving a reasonable level of safety is said to be defective
• Person injured by a defective product


  Can sue the producer/manufacturer
• Person injured by imported goods

  Can take action against the importer
• Any action against a manufacturer must be made within 10 years
• Local councils can suspend the sale of suspended goods or seize them
• If consumer does not follow instructions and warning
