  • Domestic Buildings and Houses
    This provides a safe, comfortable, and private space.
  • Apartment This is composed of many residences called "units," often built in populated urban areas.
  • Condominiums- These are larger offshoots of apartments created to maximize the use of space due to the increased buying power of the population.
  • Bahay na Btao This is the residence of the wealthy built in many areas during the 19th and 20th centuries.
  • Bahay na bato This is a typical two-story bahay na bato that has a ground floor from bricks or stones with big windows with grills. The Upper level is made of wood with sliding shutters and a roof that slants on four sides.

  • Barong-barong These are the houses of the landless poor usually built near the places of livelihood with a worn-out wheel to hold their roofs.

  • Bahay Kubo This is an ethnic house of Christian peasant families belonging to low-income groups living in lowland areas.
  • Bahay Kubo This has a pile of construction and a roof sliding on all sides with sliding windows for ventilation with only one room to easily arrange house units, move freely, and interact easily.
  • Bahay kubo is also known as "Nipa Hut," or "Cube
    House."
  • The bahay kubo is elevated to avoid floods and animals and is made up of kawayan and nipa or anahaw.
  • It is typical for traditional ethnic houses to have a roof that slides on all sides.
  • Houseboat This is a boat that serves as a dwelling place, typically resided by Badjaos or Sama Laut.

    Market, buildings that house office banks, business offices, and factories.
  • Market (Palengke) This is a building for buying and selling goods and is also known as "Tindahan, or "Tiyanggae."
  • Supermarket- This is the evolved version of Palengke that has designated areas for perishable and non-perishable
    commodities at it is a combination of wet market and groceries.
  • Mall or Galleria- This is the more recently evolved form of Palengke, a one or multiple-story building or square filled with shops.
  • Buildings that houses banks, business offices, and factories. These were created during the 1950s, having plain wall surfaces and large windows and may have bold rectangular forms and clean lines.
  • Examples of Buildings that House Banks, Business Offices, and Factories are Nissan, Toyota and Mercedez.
  • Government Buildings This is where Government activities or services occur, helping us manage our country.

    These are the buildings of the provincial government that use columns and pediments in the exterior of the building.
    This architecture must be impressive and reflect the culture of the province.
