  One of the norms/standards of christian morality
• Conscience


  Inner feeling or inner voice (voice of God) telling us to do good and avoid evil
• Conscience is a gift
• There is always the voice of God telling us to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil – law inscribed by God in man's heart
• We have to listen to our conscience/budhi/konsensya
• All cultures recognize/believe that all person has conscience, however, some are manhid na coz they get used to doing such thing
• No culture believes that no person has conscience
• Signs that you listen to your conscience

  Peace of mind
• Signs that you don't listen to your conscience

  Guilty mind
• We already have our conscience, but we have to educate and grow in order to form our conscience (voice of God) a gift from God
• Reasons for ignorance of conscience

  • Ignorance of Christ and his Gospel
  • Bad example given by others
  • Enslavement to one's passions
  • Rejection
• Scrupulous conscience


  One which sees sin where there is none; masyading dinidibdib ang kasalanan
• Lax conscience


  Tends to follow the easy way and to find excuses for omissions and mistakes; lax conscience (manhid na konsensya); result of habitual sin; "I am human born to commit mistakes"
• Erroneous conscience


  Judges what is really bad as good according to a false interpretation of the moral principles; cares little for what is true and good; e.g. tama for you and abortion; you look at something wrong as right and vice versa
• Doubtful conscience


  If it is in a state of uncertainty as to the lawfulness or obligation of an action; in doubt; you do not know whether your actions are right or wrong; the action must be postponed until certainty can be reached
• Informed conscience


  One which has the proper knowledge of evil and good
• How does man make his conscience well-informed? EDUCATE ONE'S CONSCIENCE

  2. Keep yourself updated regarding moral, civil, and church law
  3. Consult prudent and virtuous person's 
  4. Examine your conscience 
  5. Always ask for the guidance of the holy spirit (for guidance and council) ask for the guidance of the holy spirit
