  • cilia- waft mucus to back to throat
  • stomach- hydrochloric acid that kills pathogens
• Immune system

  white blood cells:

  • consume- engulf foreign cells (phagocytosis)
  • producing antibodies- specific to the type of antigen they produce rapidly. if person is infected again they act straight away
  • producing antitoxins
