• 1. inject small amounts of dead pathogen. these carry antigens which allows body to make antibodies to fight them
  2. if infected again the antibodies are ready to attack
• Pros

  • helped controls alot of diseases
  • epidemics can be prevented if large % of poplulation is vaccinated
• Cons

  1. don’t always work
  2. can have a bad reaction but this is very rare
