• “Like a terrier who doesn’t want to bring a ball to its master” - constantly referred to as an animal
• “Blubbering’ like a baby” - physicalLy strong but mentally weak

• “Strong as a bull” - constantly compared to as an animal
• “Well, he better watch out for Lennie. Lennie ain’t no fighter, but he’s strong and Lennie don’t know no rules.” - Foreshadows the fight between Lennie and Curley
• “Jesus”,”He‘s just like a kid, ain’t he.” - The other men instantly take notice of lennies child like dementor
• “Why do you got to get killed” - Lennie doesn’t understand that it’s his fault and his actions have caused this.
• “Her body flopped like a fish” - Lennie killed Curleys wife in the same way as he injured Curley
• “He gonna leave you, ya crazy bastard. He gonna leave ya all alone” - Lennie is going crazy and the dream is becoming a nightmare
