Big Bang Theory

• • First proposed in 1922 by Alexander Friedmann (Russian mathematician).
  • Expanded upon in 1927 by Geoges-Henri Lemaître (catholic priest).
  • Then developed by professor Stephen Hawking.
• Universe came into existence about 15 billion years ago, with help of cosmolog.
• Believed matter became so dense and hot, couldn‘t keep together, so exploded (causing ’Big Bang’) - this point, time and space were created.

  Temperature cooled, forming elements and islands of more solid matter combing to form galaxies, containing many stars - forming universe today.
• Scientists conclude, universe has no creator, but things must have happened by themselves.
