    The Inspector describes Eva Smith to be "a pretty..", but immediately switches to emotive language and highlights the tragic death of Eva in gruesome detail.

    Just before he leaves,The Inspector highlights that if men (the upper class) do not learn lessons they will be taught..."

    Just before he leaves, The Inspector highlights that everyone is responsible for each other, as they are all one
  • But each of you helped to kill her. Remember that. Never forget it.

    Inspector Goole talks to everyone as a whole, commanding them to "never forget" that they helped to kill Eva.
