Usability
It is a quality attribute that evaluates how easy user interfaces are to use.
Learnability
- How easy for the users to accomplish the basic that they encounter the design for the first time?
Efficiency-
The users have learned the design and how quickly the users can perform their tasks/responsibilities?
Memorability
: After a period of not using it the users return to the design and how can they reestablish proficiency easily?
Errors
: How do users make many errors, how these errors
are severe, and how can they recover from the errors easily?
Satisfaction
: How the design use in a pleasant way?
UI (User Interface)
is a website how interacts with the user: The
features of a website used by the people to understand how it
works and get around.
What is 4E
Easy to use
•
Easy to understand
•
Error-free
•
Effective for end-goal
(buying your product)
Intuitive
– people can feel their way around quite easily
Familiar
– even if people visit your website for the first
time, they should feel like they know how it works
Leading
– the best UI’s will lead people from point to point,
moving them along their journey to their ultimate goal:
buying your product
Sluggish
and
unresponsive
– interaction will be slow and clunky
Complicated
– the site will be hard for people to
understand
Confusing
– it will be unclear about where the visitor should go next
Inconsistent design
– pages will look different, throwing users off
No target
– there is no clear audience for the website
Lack of social interaction
– social media plays a big part in
business nowadays and people like to see that
Readability issues
– good UI includes content too and
unreadable content is absolute no-no for good UI. Make
sure font size is big enough, the actual font itself is
appropriate, and your colour-scheme makes it easy to read
what’s on your website.
UCD
Means?
User Centered Design
UCD
focuses on the
development process on the needs of the user to
facilitate the best possible user experience, it is a
product development and design process.
Context Analysis
The initial step is to investigate the setting where clients will
utilize the item.
Design
The genuine plan measure doesn't begin until the necessities have been
characterized.
Evaluation
After a model has been produced, the project team asks potential users for
feedback.
Assess the degree of the system’s usefulness and functionality:
Does the UI give adequate usefulness and proper capacities? Is
there a lot of usefulness?
Evaluate the impacts on the user: How long does it take to utilize
the UI? Is the client fulfilled? Does the client react effectively?
Could the client access the data introduced by the User Interface?
Recognize explicit convenience issues
: Does the UI commit
errors? Is the client befuddled?
Give the FIVE QUALITY COMPONENTS OF USABILITY:
-Efficiency
-Learnability
-Error
-Satisfaction
-Memorability
