• Displacement

  Straight line distance between the beginning and finishing point (in m or km). Includes direction (north, south, east, west, etc)
• Average speed

  Measure of how fast something moves over its entire journey. Ignores stops and changes in speed.
• Instantaneous speed

  The speed in a particular instance. An example is the speedometer in cars.
