  1. use weighing boat and measure specific mass
  2. Rinse the boat 3 times using distilled water to ensure no solid is left
  3. add enough water so that the solid dissolves.
  4. transfer to a 250cm3 volumetric flask
  5. Stir using glass rod
  6. make up to just below the mark and invert
  7. Invert 3 times and fill to mark
